The Polemic
A Polemic is an audacious statement describing where one stands on a principle or concept, something which is sometimes taboo in this modern era. I believe that it is time to allow such ideas to see the light of day, to give one’s concepts meaning in this world. I believe that the world needs people who are unafraid of ridicule and backlash for standing for what they equitably feel in their hearts to be the truth. I believe that the Empire of Nothing is built on the backs of those who allow others to stand and fight and remain silent. When one does not voice their opinion, they are simply stating that their beliefs are beneath those who are willing to raise theirs to the heavens. Instead of voicing objection and antithesis, too many conservatives sit and do nothing. By allowing such idiocy to exist, the voice of the Empire of Nothing grows stronger. Much like the waves which crash against the sedimentary rock of the coastline, it is only a matter of time before the cliff face falls. The only escape is to create a contingency by voicing the opinion of the conservative, allow the power of the Stoic to live once more in the world and encourage wisdom to be the ultimate aim for all in the world once more. With hope, the world may heal and the future will be bright once more.
No matter what anyone tells you, words retain their power. Words have the ability to create and destroy kingdoms, craft or tear down governments and erect or mortify careers. Words have the power to craft true immortality, generate a sense of self and a sense of euphoria. They can break hearts and mend the souls of men. Scripture can bring forth the salvation of souls, sonnets can bring out the best of men, manifestos can make a wise man and a blood thirsty tyrant. No matter which way you bend them, a man or woman can look upon them and be bended by them. We all are made who we are by what we read and what we interpret as truth by how we interpret what is written upon paper or what is typed upon a digital screen. Even now, my voice is being placed upon a device which can reach millions of people around the world, a system which is a tool that can be utilized for good and for evil. This is the power of the Polemic. As James Allen wrote, “A man is literally what he thinks, a complete summary of all his thoughts.” By reading this, your thoughts are being molded, swayed into a notion of what I believe to be truth. By relying upon one source, you are destined to become what that particular person believes. Therefore, I urge you, the reader, to not just rely upon my doctrine alone, but rely also upon others for your thoughts and personal growth.
Lastly, I want to tell the reader to keep an open mind as they continue to read my following Polemics. These are my opinions on topics which are highly controversial and I hope that you do respect my beliefs. I do not judge anyone who disagrees with my ideas concerning them. If you would like to chat about them in a respectful manner, I will offer the same to you.
