Fireside Chat: YouTube is Hilarious
I tried my hand at creating content on YouTube recently, and I've learned three things so far:
1- It's a bit harder than I realized to splice audio into a video.
2- It's a place where insults and suggesting there are only two genders is hate speech
3- No one understands symbolism
Someone told me that I was advocating violence when I used the word "war" in my (admittedly substandard) first post. I knew what the YouTube Terms of Service were, but I wanted to see if they thought I was that stupid. It turns out they did! I asked them what exactly TOS meant, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading through them.
Now, is all of this a bit childish? Probably. My point is simple: I don't care if someone's political leaning is right or left, if they support the LGBTQ2AAIP or not, or if they are just a random bloke on the street. I like to piss off any group that takes themselves a little too seriously. For me, that's the best part about all the comments I've gotten recently. It would seem that all of these folks who have given their piece get it! The only thing to do now is to get these folks to the understanding that they're bickering is pointless, as well.
